The little things

·

As I stand here dancing in my balcony listening to the calming drops of rainfall and the subliminally beautiful lightning..I felt my happiness and I felt my vibe, and let me be honest..I love it, the best decision in my life you ask..is going out and dancing in the rain, its eating that one extra piece of chocolate cake, its cracking lame jokes and listening to my bestfriend laugh, it’s finally not caring about what people think about me and finding myself, it’s expressing myself, it’s taking that one step that I was so afraid of taking, it’s doing things that I was scared of and then loving them, It’s taking that well deserved break and even taking it when it doesn’t feel deserved but is needed, it’s making everyday unique, its not overthinking what people say, it’s being that one bit more sassy and sarcastic cuz that’s me, it’s freeing myself from the invisible boundaries that I set for myself without realising, it’s having fun and doing the things that I love that people classify as “weird”, its speaking for what i believe in without caring about whose on the other side of the conversation, it’s getting my dog on my bed even though im not allowed, it’s playing skriblio with my mom even though it can get intense, it’s shouting profanities at the TV with my dad while watching cricket, it’s messing up my piano piece but still playing it because it’s not the end of the world if I messed up one note, it’s singing my heart out with no fear of being judged, it’s recreating the iconic Jake Peralta scene by strumming an untuned guitar and screeching, it’s about setting my soul on fire, it’s about being fearless while i play tennis, it’s staying up tonight as I get to witness this melodious downpour, ignited by the dancing thunder..so the best decision in my life I would say..is making it something I love and the one that would have me smiling about everyday..instead of “finding and fulfilling my purpose in life”.
