Life of a wonderful girl

(Written someday in 2019)

Elders of our family give us love, values and ethics. They teach us compassion and gratitude for our blessings. The prayers, mantras and chants in the mandir stay with us always and help us through our anxieties and tough moments in life.

Yes! We youngsters too have anxieties.

Today, I sit on my bhai’s study table thinking of something to write, some nostalgic memories of my loving late grandparents. I peered in my left at the beautiful green tree with the blossoming red flowers.

Let’s write something humorous, I thought. How about a joke? Oh yeah, that funny incident I witnessed with my family. How much we laughed that day, I am cracking up even now. But wait, I want to talk about something that hurts today.

Let me start by saying how much gratitude I have for my parents and grandparents and how hard they work for us. Our lives and joy are always their top priority.

Our health, our uniforms and our jerseys, our sports and classes are of utmost importance to them and our parents takes immense pride in our achievements.

They laugh when we laugh and they hide their sorrows when we cry!

Dr Priyanka Reddy,s parents must have worked as hard to support their child reach where she was. Educated, intelligent, confident, beautiful, this young veterinarian from Hyderabad. I am sure this family had their happy memories too.

Not fair to anyone or any family. Right now, I have a lump in my throat.

My respected elders, we have such a dynamic and able leader in our honourable Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.

I hereby request you to please join me in my plea to Mr. Modi to very urgently pass a bill in this regard as well.

All our previous generations have worked outstandingly to imbibe wonderful values in our Indian youth.

However, this is time to do something more….to pass a bill with immediate effect.
