Silence.

·

In shadows cast by patriarchy’s might,

A woman’s voice, stifled, out of sight.

Bound by chains of societal norms,

Her words suppressed, her spirit mourns.

She longs to speak, to let her thoughts flow,

But societal shackles refuse to let go.

Her ideas, her dreams, her desires confined,

In a world where her worth is undermined.

She fights the battles, unseen, unheard,

Against prejudices deeply stirred.

Her voice, a whisper against the roar,

Of a system that silences her more.

Yet in the silence, a strength resides,

A resilience that never subsides.

She yearns for a world where she’s truly free,

To speak her truth, to be who she can be.

Though bound by chains, her spirit stands tall,

In defiance of patriarchal thrall.

For she knows deep within her soul’s core,

Her voice will rise, and be heard once more.
